Hello everyone,
Adrienne here! I wanted to let you know that the inaugural PT-DC Alumni Volunteer Day was a great success. We had nearly 20 alumni + spouses and friends. I’m forwarding some wonderful photos taken by Rich Field, a volunteer photographer. What an ENORMOUS amount of work we all got done – and with such good cheer and efficiency (not to mention muscle power).
Storage vaults were emptied and cleaned . . . library books processed and shelved . . . pencils sharpened and put into decorated holders for each classroom . . . trash picked up and leaves raked on the grounds and in the surrounding neighborhood . . .
As Park Tudor graduates, we certainly know the great opportunities a wonderful education can provide. Our group enjoyed helping less fortunate students reach success. Not to mention, the cheerful atmosphere lent itself to many good conversations. I think the alumni who attended really got to know eachother. My only regret is having the event on a Monday- not everyone got the day off.
Many many thanks to everyone on the Alumni Board for helping me plan this! And to Gretchen for supplying us with cool PT T-shirts to wear!!! We looked awesome!
